"At the cross industry chain docking meeting launched by the government department last year, we found for the first time that each other's products can be accurately matched." Mao Weihua, chairman of Wanfang Textile Company, said that the company has developed a variety of functional clothing fabrics, and Anzheng Fashion is looking for high-quality local fabric suppliers.

The handshakes of greetings become deep hands. The next day, the two companies set up a work group. Designers from both sides met immediately to discuss the details of cooperation. After five months of customized research and development, Wanxiang Anzheng supplied casual pants fabrics. "For the first time, we have established upstream and downstream cooperation with local enterprises in Haining. The transportation cost has decreased, and the added value of products has increased." Mao Weihua said that the two enterprises will also cooperate to develop new shirt fabrics.

Behind the hand in hand is the embedding and coupling of the two industrial ecosystems. Leather, warp knitting, home textile and clothing are traditional competitive industries in Haining. Facing the challenges of restructuring the global industrial chain and upgrading consumption, the single industry is becoming increasingly tired of "fighting alone". "Promote multi industry 'cross chain' cooperation, build a dual cycle within and outside the region, and let traditional industries glow with new vitality." Chen Jie, Director of Haining Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, said that local traditional industries can cross integrate in production processes, product applications and other aspects, and make efforts to open up the internal cycle of local supply and demand.

In terms of talent support, Xucun Town, together with fashion fabric innovation center, Zhejiang University of Technology and other institutions, has attracted more than 2000 designers to settle in, forming a full chain design capability from yarn research and development to home fabric, clothing and other end products.

Cross border exhibition has also become the norm in Haining. At the Haining China International Leather and Fur Fashion Accessories Exhibition held in March, nearly 10 home textile enterprises jointly participated in the exhibition. Haining Shuyada Textile Co., Ltd. brought Xiangyun yarn and signed a cooperation intention with a women's clothing company on the spot. "This kind of fabric has a sense of elegance when used as curtains. It has been changed into antique clothes that are skin friendly and breathable." Zhou Feng, general manager of Shuyada Textile, said, changing his mind and opening a new market.

At the same time, Haining is guided by leading enterprises to promote the collaboration between upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, large, small and medium-sized enterprises, and build an upstream and downstream docking platform across the industrial chain. Since last year, Haining has implemented the "33" policy of optimizing traditional competitive industries and achieved results. It has also issued relevant incentive policies to guide warp knitting fabric enterprises and home textile enterprises to develop clothing fabric products in a targeted manner, designer enterprises (studios) to design and develop clothing products in a targeted manner, and brand enterprises and local supply chain enterprises jointly held closed door seminars, Promote the optimal allocation of resources in the region.

In Haining Migao Garment Company, the jacquard fabric purchased by Xucun home textile enterprises has been spliced into leather clothes. This national style leather vest sells 2000 pieces every month; Haining Zhongfang Fabric Technology Co., Ltd., a home textile enterprise, weaves national style fabrics into clothes and makes its debut in 2025 China International Fashion Week. In the first two months of this year, the total profits of the leather, warp knitting and clothing industries all kept growing, of which the growth rate of the warp knitting industry reached 55.31%; Haining fashion industry represented by leather, warp knitting and other industries realized a total industrial output value of 11.273 billion yuan above the designated size, accounting for 31.18% of the total industrial output value of the city.
