Environmental Protection Annual Meeting Of Printing And Dyeing Industry Calls For Clear Rules Of Truth

On September 4th ~6, the 2014 Annual Conference on energy saving and environmental protection of the national printing and dyeing industry, and the strategic alliance of technological innovation for wastewater treatment and resource recycling in the textile printing and dyeing industry was held in Shanghai.

At the meeting, Zhang Wenjing, an associate professor of Environmental Planning Department of the Ministry of environmental protection, said that according to the environmental statistics in 2012, the textile industry wastewater discharge amount to 23.7 billion tons, ranking third in the 41 industries surveyed and surveyed. The chemical oxygen demand volume was 277 thousand tons, ranking fourth, and ammonia nitrogen emission 19 thousand tons, ranking fourth.

At present, the sudden water pollution accidents are mainly distributed in the eastern and central parts of China. From the drainage area, they are mainly distributed in the Yangtze River, the Pearl River and the the Yellow River River Basin.

Gao Hong, deputy director of the national energy conservation promotion center of the national development and Reform Commission, issued the "current energy saving work situation and key points". At the annual meeting of environmental protection, Professor Xi Dali li of Donghua University published the "countermeasure and thinking of antimony pollution in printing and dyeing industry", which indicated that the source of antimony in textile printing and dyeing industry was mainly polyester (polyester raw material) synthesis: when 300~500ppm and three were oxidized, two antimony, antimony acetate or ethylene glycol antimony were used as catalysts; the flame retardant in dyeing and finishing was basically 3 years ago without antimony compounds, and almost no dyes or auxiliaries.

He appealed that relevant departments and organizations should find out the truth for printing and dyeing.

"What is the case of nonylphenol and antimony pollution? What should all the relevant departments and organizations do to deal with the pollution incident?" he hopes to work out a set of rules.

This year's annual environmental protection conference also presented the 20 certificate of China's dyeing and finishing enterprises in 2013, announced the results of the energy conservation and emission reduction standards competition, and the eighth batch of energy saving emission reduction recommendation catalogue.
