The Rise In Oil And Electricity Prices Has Limited Impact On China'S Textile And Leather Industry.
The national development and Reform Commission recently announced that oil and electricity prices will rise. Although this means that the production and spanportation costs of China's textile and leather industry will increase further, most industry experts believe that the oil and electricity price adjustment will not cause big fluctuations in the industrial chain, and the production enterprises have certain digestion capability. Experts from the China Textile Industry Association believe that although the price adjustment generally has little impact on cotton textile enterprises, the increase in electricity prices has raised higher requirements for energy conservation and consumption reduction. If enterprises want to achieve the goal of reducing energy consumption per unit of GDP by about 20% during the "11th Five-Year" period, they must eliminate high-energy equipment and products, develop products with low energy consumption and high added value, and create larger market development space for themselves. At the same time, many textile enterprises have also realized that the price increase of oil and electricity is the need of macroeconomic regulation and control, and the inevitable result of intensifying the contradiction between supply and demand of the market. The adjustment of the electricity price has made textile enterprises more aware of the importance of energy conservation and consumption reduction. They believe that from the international and domestic market, the competitiveness of textile enterprises depends on the differences in asset quality and labor quality, technological differences, R & D differences, management differences and brand differences. Therefore, in order to win this game, the textile industry will ultimately rely on increasing labour productivity, increasing the contribution rate of technology and brand contribution. Only by accelerating the pace of reform and innovation and actively adapting to the new market environment can textile enterprises become the final winners.
