The 2 master's degree conferring powers of art, industrial product system design and engineering have four specialties of industrial design, art design, costume design and engineering, and animation. There are eight professional directions: product design, toy design, visual communication design, environmental art design, costume art design, decorative art design, costume design and engineering, animation.

Industrial design is listed as the "fifteen" key discipline in Tianjin.

The Institute has more than 1600 masters and undergraduate students and 86 teachers, including 6 professors and 13 associate professors.
