India Reopens Cotton Export Registration

As the second largest cotton producer and exporter in the world India It will start next week. Re opening cotton export registration The Trade Secretary, Mr. La HuR Al, said on Wednesday.


In the 2010-11 cotton season, India will still allow exports of 2 million 500 thousand bales of cotton, although the final export deadline for December 15th has arrived, trade minister Anand Sharma said on Tuesday.


In fiscal year 2010-11, India could produce 32 million 500 thousand bales of cotton and 29 million 500 thousand cotton last year, India industry and government officials said.
