According to the report data, the annual output of Guangdong chemical fiber is about 2 million 180 thousand tons, of which 1 million 290 thousand tons of polyester, 430 thousand tons of polyester filament, 120 thousand tons of polyester staple, 270 thousand tons of nylon, 80 thousand tons of polypropylene, 200 tons of aramid.

But Xinhui Mei Da's nylon filament accounts for 8% of the national market share. Kaiping Chunhui's polyester filament accounts for 50% of the market share of Southern China. The annual output of Jieyang Yue Hai chemical fiber is over 30 thousand tons of polypropylene filament. It has become the largest and most productive polypropylene filament production enterprise in the country.

These backbone enterprises play a supporting role in the development of Guangdong chemical fiber.

The report also pointed out the four major problems and six development strategies of Guangdong chemical fiber industry.

Four major problems: first, the development of chemical fiber in Southern China area is lagging behind; the chemical fiber industry cluster does not match the textile industrial cluster; the two is that Guangdong chemical fiber lacks large enterprises selling more than ten billion yuan; the three is the lack of independent innovation capability; four, some chemical fiber raw material constraints still exist.

Six countermeasures: first, through cooperation, merger or strategic reorganization, the establishment of an international large company and large group will strengthen the strength of Southern China chemical fiber industry; two, speed up the adjustment of product mix and increase the differential rate of chemical fiber; three, increase investment in science and technology, and enhance the ability of independent innovation; four, pay close attention to tap the potential of science and technology, save energy and reduce emissions; five, give full play to the leverage of the government, improve the market expansion mechanism of "government setting up and enterprises singing opera"; six, play the role of the association and enhance the vitality of the industry.
