Low Carbon Creative Clothing

The WWF Pavilion at the World Expo international joint organization Pavilion is launching a low carbon creative fashion show, bringing cool weather to the hot summer.

Not only does this exhibit a series of low carbon creative costumes, it also performs graffiti, designer interaction with visitors every weekend.


These low carbon creative costumes are designed by 5 cutting-edge fashion designers. They pform their old clothes into a variety of environment-friendly concepts, such as changing clothes, wearing more clothes, and using waste materials.

The most thought-provoking thing is a little white dress called "Swan".

Clothing is made of medical gauze with band aid and a large quantity of cotton and linen.

The back of the dress is decorated with a pin. The convex structure at the chest makes people feel pain and direct the heart, warning the environment of the earth is deteriorating and arousing people's sense of responsibility to protect the earth.


The unique swimsuit is made of recycled umbrella fabric as the surface material, with 100% organic cotton double-sided material as lining, decorated with recycled Vintage Lace, practical and comfortable, and can be used in daily life.


In addition to static display, these designers will interact with visitors in the pavilion every weekend in July.

The designer of "one coat and more wear" will guide the public to dress the ordinary clothes and display the fashion while realizing the concept of environmental protection.

The fashion designers of "old clothes pformation" will also show the public how to combine and recreate different old clothes, and carry out low-carbon to the end.


Shen Jie, vice president of the Shanghai clothing association, said that a piece of clothing from the production of raw materials to production, pportation, use and disposal after disposal, are constantly emitting carbon dioxide and environmental impact.

At present, clothing manufacturers are choosing natural and environment-friendly raw materials to develop low carbon new technologies for clothing production. Clothing designers and clothing sellers are trying to open up various value-added services, such as helping customers to wear more clothes, wearing fashionable clothes and new clothes to match fashionable effects, pforming old clothes, and even organizing customers to make clothing accessories by themselves, in order to help consumers effectively use clothes and creatively practice the concept of low carbon life.


Wang Limin, deputy chief executive of the World Wide Fund for nature (China), said that climate change has become a hot issue of the world. It needs the joint efforts of all sectors of society. Low carbon and environmental protection is closely related to everyone.

The theme of "adaptation to climate change" of the WWF is designed in the form of creative costumes and life sketches. It is to display the low-carbon life visually and visually to visitors. It is not only a responsibility but also an endless enjoyment of life.
