Wuhan Textile University Hosted The First International Forum On Modern Textile Science And Technology

In from June 6th to 8th, the first "Modern Textile Technology International Forum" hosted by Wuhan Textile University was held in Wuhan Hanlong. Nearly 20 top leading textile experts and scholars from more than 10 countries and regions in the UK, the United States, Japan, France, Australia, Canada, Czech, New Zealand, China, Hongkong and China gathered on the shore of Nanhu Lake to share modern textile technology research achievements and explore frontier issues in textile science and technology.

At 8:30 a.m. on the 7 th, the "Modern Textile Technology International Forum" was opened at the academic lecture hall of Nanhu campus of Wuhan Textile University.

Wei Yiliang, President of Wuhan Textile University, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers of the forum.

He pointed out that "academia has no borders and knowledge has become more valuable because of sharing". This forum aims to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation, promote the progress of the textile industry, and promote the recovery and development of the world economy.

The chairman of the "International Forum on modern textile technology" is chaired by Hubei Chutian scholar, Wang Xun, director of CMFI, director of the National Center for science and technology progress, and Xu Weilin, vice president of Wuhan Textile University, Deakin University.

Gajanan Bhat, director of the nonwoven materials research laboratory, University of Tennessee, Toshihiro Hirai, Shinshu University, Shinshu University, Professor Tao Xiaoming, chief professor of textiles at Hong Kong Polytech University, Qiu Yi, Dean of the school of textiles and textiles, will be given 16 keynote speeches by the world's leading textile technology experts and scholars. We will conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as "functional textiles", "textile machinery and electricity", "fiber technology" and "new material science".

The analysis report of Institute of Social Studie of China pointed out that China's textile industry has obvious competitive advantages in the world. As a major textile manufacturing and exporting country, the state has specially promulgated the "national textile industry adjustment and revitalization plan" in 2009. Hubei Province, as a major textile Province, has been led by Wuhan Textile University to formulate the Hubei textile industry development roadmap.

The opening of the forum further deepened the exchanges between Chinese textile science and technology circles and the world's textile and technology circles, and laid a good foundation for further strengthening global textile technology cooperation and research.
